Default Hideaway seals

I have replaced the seals on my hideaway actuators three times. These actuator seals continue to degrade and fall apart. I have new actuators and have purchased seals two times from PY. I am wondering if the fuel vapor is causing damage and what can be done to make sure they last. Any help appreciated

How long have they lasted? I've got about 8 or 9 years on my current pair and they are just now starting to go South. Is your car stored outside or in a garage?
