A starter is heavy and would be expensive to ship, so it would help if you posted what state or country you live in.

I believe I have several original 64 starters at the shop. Won't be going back up there until Tuesday, but if you are still looking let me know. They are used and I believe they still work, but I'd have them rebuilt if I were doing a nice restoration.

I have never looked at the numbers but will check for them Tuesday. Where are the numbers located?

I have two but the one has no numbers that I can find. The other is a 11097766112 Delco Remy USA. The one with no numbers I took off of a wrecked 64 GTO in a boneyard in 1976. It must've already been a replacement for the original.

Google it: http://www.wallaceracing.com/starter-numbers.htm

Apparently there was no difference in the starter numbers for the Lemans or the GTO, the GTO just being an option package on the Lemans that year. Interesting to note is that there is a separate starter number for the 8 cylinder Tempest. You would think that the 326 would use the same starter whether it was placed in a Tempest or the Lemans.

Separately, the one I offered you (to which you never responded, btw) that has no number may be the correct one since “no number” appears to be correct according to the Wallace Racing chart! Just kidding .
