Default clutch problems

trying to awake my barn find 69 judge ( my barn for 30 plus years ) put a new clutch , pressure plate , throw out bearing kit from summit in it but don.t have enough pedal travel to release it. Are there different length throw out bearings like chevy used to use other wise the clutch fork might be the problem . it actually hits the bellhousing. thanks

You may need a longer ball stud. Is this a stock set-up?

Yes there are different length throwout bearings. All the Pontiac ones I have seen are taller. Do you still have the old parts to compare them?

Adlustable ball stud could be used as mentioned to help compensate for the shorter TB but it would be best to just get the correct throw out bearing.

3 and 4 speed used identical clutch and linkage. I concur that sounds like you need the thicker throw out bearing
