Just a little more icing on your cake, i'd say.
But don't take that as meaning car #42 - just to keep things clear.

The dates on the Invoice can be weeks - and even months - apart from build date on these particular cars. The easiest term to use is - they were prebuilt and held until after a release date.

Trim tag and/or actual buildsheet (doubt you will ever find a buildsheet on an early Baltimore Judge - no one else has) is what will determine build time.

On this example, the build date is January - 5th week = 01E

...I did have a scan of the PHS...thought I did, but I didn't want to say so until I was sure

...we looked for a build sheet but didn't find one

...I don't have a pix of the trim tag and the car is stored across town, I will try to check it out ASAP

Thanks on the emblem, I thought this was a later build.

The PHS shows it went to the 09 991 Zone office before being sold at Wells Pontiac.

Anyone know where the Zone office may have been?
(Indianapolis?)

That car deserved to be on that cover. Very nice even after being all cleaned up.

Thanks for sharing the Invoice.
Amazing story with the car.
And she just walked right up in the diner one day ..... wOw

My Judge is an 02C date Baltimore built (Non-Pattern)
02C is the cut off point, some day during that week.
Documented two 02C being Pattern, two that are not.
None documented as Pattern after 02C from Baltimore. (yet)

Baltimore:
One 02A with GTO dash emblem. One without any emblems.
None from 02B 02C or 02D with any emblems on dash or glovebox. (yet)

Will dig up the PMD Invoice and get my VIN to compare with yours in the meantime.
Easier to do that than to get at my car also.
No drastic rush or anything, just when you can at your convenience.

Thanks

Haven't seen it since the late 80's - and it stayed indoors permanently.
But from old memories - i think it will be a Zone/Pattern Judge.
Did you ever examine it ? Was VERY original 1 piece car IIRC.
He and Joyce moved from GSO several years ago.
Not sure how many cars they still have or which ones.
I've seen it a couple of times in the 80's. He did bring it to the Crown show in the mid-80's. If a Baltimore car, it should work. But I believe he purchased it in N.Y. so it could be a Framingham car? not sure

Also, it had a Judge sticker on the glove box. I have read in the last few years that some came that way. I always assumed Bob put it there. Bill/Cathy know where they are so I may try to follow that up after "tax season."

Incidentally, he sold the car to Walt Hollifield at one time and later bought it back from him! Bob bugged Walt until he sold it back. Walt is quite funny, but I have not seen him since the 80's.

LoL

Thats when i last saw that car, not long after he got it back from Walt.
One story says that Bob kept calling and checking up on the car,
like a parent calling a babysitter on the every half hour - per se'.

....and Walt finally just made him buy it back. lmao

that whole bunch from back then were a real cast of characters
great peoples

I got two Baltimore built Judges and no build sheets found....Not sure they did them in Baltimore.

...for you guys that appreciate "survivors"...not exactly a "Barn HURST", but close...a 1 owner car for 30 some years...it is also a non-restored 99% original car...it sits next to the "Barn Judge" in my building...one of my favorite cars ever

The 69 H-O is my favorite non-Pontiac. Those scoops cannot be beat.

I love your Judge story, what an awesome car. I have always liked the Hurst Olds also and that is a cool looking car. Looks like you've got some really cool rides.
Is your diner in New Castle also. Just a couple hours south, and me and my wife have been talking about taking a spin down that way one of these days. Always looking for another cool diner to visit.
We were going to see if Maher Buick-Pontiac, where our Pontiac built Judge was delivered to when new, was still around. Or if the old dealership was still standing by chance? Address was 1618 Broad Street, maybe you could let me know if it is still around? Also, where abouts is your diner located? I always enjoy yak'in with another car guy.

Thanks, Denny.

...the diner is a fun place...lots of car memorabilia...it is west of St Rd 3 on HWY 38 (Broad St)

...Maher Buick-Pontiac....building still exists but the exterior has been changed in the last few years, all the front showroom windows were closed in...it is now a church...the son of the owner is still around town, I think he worked there too...after Maher left that location it was used as a Firestone Tire Store for a looooong time, 10-20 years possibly

Great story. I've read it before in the Pontiac Stories section but it is worth repeating.

Post pics of the diner

I always have liked those shots in the snow like that, and what a sweet looking car.

Thanks for the info 69 DAYTONA, at least someday I can get a shot of it in front of the church it was delivered to new. LOL

The diner sounds awesome! Looking forward to seeing it one of these days. If this winter stays this mild, might be sooner than later!
Also, I agree with GTO JOHN, lets see some pics of the diner...

Thanks again! Denny
