ozzieville I have been looking at your posts for a while and like your car. I see you are a rigger do you work on the energy projects as I do? North the 63 is a 42000 ml car in very good order. I have a 400 in it at the moment as the 336 has 10.25 cr and does not like our gas. I will put some more pics up as I have just learned how to do it. North your a GM man do you know what the red two door is in the end pic?

John - As I mentioned over in the Lemans/GTO tech section we have similar tastes. I have posted up some pics of my 67 GP. I had a 69 Bonneville Brougham 428 HO car I parted out many years ago. If I remember correctly the body side moulding had lights on each end. The car was Verdo green and loaded with options.

Incommunicado - I was in the same class as you at the POCI show this summer. I also drove the GP out to the drags that day.

I think it's a Holden Monaro 69-70ish, the GTS version? There was an article on them in CA a few years ago.

You are correct, in 69 the moldings are capped at each end by the side marker lights. Those moldings are the weakspot of the exterior of the car, I never liked body side moldings as they break up the lines but in 69 they were standard equipment, if you remove them then the problem is that your side marker lights look weird because they were designed to be connected to the moldings.

The only exception to the side moldings being standard was the canadian 2+2 model, it had specific side marker bezels, good luck finding a set of non pitted ones from the great salty white north.

You are so right north but im not sure of the year myself. When I was a young man in New Zealand you would buy one because you could not afford a camaro . Now good ones start at $50,000 and go up from there.

Ahh, New Zealand. Land of my dreams. One day I'll get there ..........with my Bonneville no less. Drive cross country. Wrap it in plastic and put it on a slow boat to Auckland. I'll be the only one in the country with a '69 convertible with 52 options.

The seats and door panels are done, a rally gauge dash was sourced and is rebuilt along with the proper harness and a room full of NOS, new and used parts are waiting. Got to get the body and frame done this summer and begin the assembly. I hate this stage because one doesn't see much progress being made, just a big mess.

Thanks to many on this forum for help and with parts. There will be a lot of stuff left over if anyone needs anything.
Here is the car at the blast shop in December, 2012. Sorry for the poor picture quality but all I had at the time.

She will get some blasting (not all) and then back to the shop and off the frame. It will be a push, but I hope to have it back on the frame by fall.

I added a couple of shots of my 71 Catalina Freeway Enforcer, 37,000 miles, 455 4bbl, T-400, 3.23 open rear gears. I hope to have it back on the road this week, need to get the gas tank back in it, blow out the fuel lines, and replace all the flex lines.

So, I finally dusted off the Cat and drove her out to the cruise. Looking at the registration, I guess it hasn't been on the road since 07. Wow does time fly.

Cool car. IIRC that was a WA or OR CL ad, someone was selling for elderly person or was precious owner, yes?

Car was on Portland craigslist and listed on this site as well. I purchased the car from a guy that bought the car from the guy that bought it from the elderly owner.

I have a nice front fender extension/headlamp bucket for it if you need one.
