1966 tri power choke pull off
Could a faulty pull off cause restarting as well.
Thanks in advance. |

The choke pull-off is only used to open choke blade some at cold start.
With hot engine, no choke, no choke pull-off. Using a mech fuel pump (with check valve) and fuel line close to hot engine parts fuel pressure rises to a point where inlet needles leaks and raw fuel dribbles down into intake making hot starts after 5-30 minutes hard. Fuel filter with return line to the tank or/and usage of an electric fuel pump mounted close to the tank bypassing the mech pump eliminates the issue. Hope this helps some. |

X2 on post by Kenth now that I understand your carb issue.
I had special heat insulators under my Rochester Tri-power Carbs for many years in the 1960s. Helped in the Missouri summers. Tom V.
