Looking for best match to 70 LeMans Dark Green in an off-the-shelf aerosol that I can use on a dash cap. I'm not willing to pay for a custom mix ($175 for paint on my $100 cap vs $15 for a spray can).

National Parts Depot has a lot of options for dark green in aerosol cans:

I tried their C-VP5084 based on their comment below in the C-VP5082 listing. It is too dark.


Before I try another, I thought I'd ask if anyone used any of these:

This one is listed for 70 Tempest. Anyone ever used it and compared with original vinyl? If I get no responses, I guess I'll try this one...

FYI

I found vinyl colors marketed for the 70 GTO greens are generally too light and more "pearlescent" than the 70 LeMans color. I found the 70 LeMans color is closer (if not identical) to what suppliers list for 69 GTO dark greens.

For example, Ames sells paint VDM24, which they say is a "CLOSE MATCH TO PUI M24 DARK METALLIC GREEN VINYL". Both of these may be a good match for 70 GTO vinyl, but are too light for what is in the LeMans. PUI M25 is a better match to the LeMans vinyl than M24. Similarly, Legendary 469G is a good match to the 70 LeMans, much closer than their 460G which is recommended for 70 GTO. TMI Y-3606 is also a good match and what I used for seat covers.

SEM does not have a known match for Legendary 469G (nor for any color older than 1976). SEM stock colors aren't even close. Similarly, NPD does not have much info on how their paints match PUI or Legendary vinyl color codes. And you can see their application listings are confusing.

Too much information, but if anyone has been down this path before, I would be happy to learn.
