well.....after a Looooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggg hiatus......got it running again

see short clip of idle

KRE 295's....262/265 solid cam..11 to 1 ..93 octane

pretty smooth idle for a large cam......more to come

I agree not as choppy as one would expect.

I am guessing the 11-1 is smoothing the idle.

Update:
pulls hard to 6500.....very little rpm drop between shifts....very hard to control in 1st and 2cnd.....no bobbles at all throughout the rpm range.......power brakes work perfect...runs at 170 degrees.... idles good

more to come..

excuse the nasty engine compartment.....its needs a cleaning after install!

The solid is on a 112 lobe... Installed at 108 ICL....helps the idle and let's it pull rpm like a mad dog..

Intake is a 6009 lobe
Exhaust is a 6018 lobe
.638 lift on the intake , (.622 after subtracting lash)
.647 lift on the exhaust (.631 after subtracting lash)
Advertised duration 295/301
Comp 99893 springs, 1.87 install height

Sounds nice and nasty ~!

How big are the chambers on the KRE D ports ?

You mentioned power brakes work just fine, How much vacuum can you get out of this combo

What sort of initial & advance timing are you running ?
