Default BW Super T-10 mystery.....

I have played with four speed transmission of all ilks for more than a few years. Stumped on this phenom.......

When I put both thrust washers on the reverse gear shaft, thin front & much thicker rear, along with the gears, the tail housing lacks about .050 of coming to the main case. Tightening some or all the bolts only binds the trans to a complete locked up status & there is still space between the tail housing & main case.

Comments.......???

Do the thrust washers go on top of the reverse idler? I'm talking like the trans is front down and its standing up. No washers go between the gear and case, just on top. Just guessin' ; )
