Just finished building the motor for my 70 goat, I have the original Ram Air exhaust manifolds to bolt on the engine, RH 9799720 and LH 478140. My question, what exhaust manifold gaskets are best to use? The engine was apart when this project was purchased and manifolds were not bolted onto heads. With only 3 bolts to mount them to the heads I am concerned they may leak if I use the Felpro gaskets (metal) included in the Engine gasket kit.

I have used the metal gaskets with no problems.

make sure you have them milled before install or at least checked for warpage.

Need to have good straight surface to seal.

Second on the milled...you'll be fine with the metal ones.
