Default Which way to move brake spoon to.......

tighten front brakes on '61.....??? I cant believe with 200 yrs hands on that I cant remember. I just installed new front brake hoses & rebuilt orig. booster on this car. I had it jacked up then......adjusted the brakes after I discovered I had failed to put roller bearing drums & self adjusters on many years ago.........

I need to tighten up the l. front about 2-3 clicks to square it away from the hose replacement, no jack in the storage garage it is in.

Am I pushing up or pulling down on the end of the spoon that is in my hand???

If adjuster is correct and not installed backwards....spoon at lower side of "star"...pulling down on end in your hand should tighten your brakes.

Just fixed someone elses car that had wrong adjuster for car on one side and the other side was backwards. Ticked me off when I first tried to pull brake drums. Neither self adjuster was installed properly either(essentially disabled). Someone worked hard to adjust those brakes...the adjusting "stars" were to side of the cutouts!
