Default 71 Turn Signal Switch Help

Guys,

I have purchased several different turn signal switches for my 71 however each of the new switches only have 10 pins in the connector but according to the Service manual and visually checking my under dash harness there are 11 wires/leads in the dash harness connector which it plugs into . (Pics Below) The 11th lead is a gray wire which ties into the illumination bundle of the harness. (Radio, Dash, etc lighting).

I was curious if anyone else had experienced this issue, I do not have my original turn signal switch to compare.
So before I install this into the column/car thought you guys may have some insight..

Thanks in Advance
Larry

Your T/A is a 4 speed car, right? The gray wire is for the Shift Indicator light on a Column shift Firebird/Trans Am. ( yes I have seen one )
Ignore the gray wire..
