Default 71 Interior Question Door Panel

Guys I am replacing the door panels (Custom) in my 71 what are the correct type of screws used to attach the lower carpeted area to the door.
The screws I removed had a large SEM type washer and I do not believe those are correct, so I thought I would check with the SME's (Subject Matter Experts)

Thanks in advance
Larry

Lower door panel screws should be chrome with a large embossed washer. The same screws were also used for the kick panels, seat backs and sail panels.

Rarely do I disagree with Dens71TA but the 4 screws along the bottom of the door panel are of this design. The screw Den shows is used on the kicks and the sails as stated.

Not on my '71 or others I've seen at cars shows or in the salvage yard. My car has the deluxe/custom interior as does the OP. Have seen the other style on standard interior cars.

I have taken apart all kinds of 60s and 70s GM cars and to the best of my recollection all have used the style screw that I posted in this application. I never say never but thi is my observation. Here are mine from my 70

My original 71 deluxe door panels have the screws Norwood posted. Or custom ones with carpet...

Yup,after 40 some years in the upholstery business, those are the correct screws for the lower doors. And I was doing them when they were "new".
