Default 1967 Firebird 400 project car or complete for sale?

A friend says her boss is interested in buying a 1967 Firebird 400. He doesn't care if it's a project car, or complete, but that's what he wants to find.

Buyer is in Southern California, Orange County area, has cash, ready to buy.

If you know of one for sale, send me some info, pics, etc to:

sales@scumbackspeakers.com

I'll get in touch with the friend and go from there.

Thanks!

Jim

Unless you are looking for a "parts" car, you posted in the wrong section. I would have a Mod move this to the proper place.

Here's one for $20k.

Really nice ones are probably at least twice that.

Guessing that most project cars, under $10k are probably rust buckets. Otherwise they would have already been restored.

Here's a Chevy powered hot rod. But, if the body is clean, at the price, he may be able to sell the engine, then partially pay for a decent Pontiac engine.

Sometimes you run across ads that are probably bogus, or the car was sold years ago. Never know what you'll find online.

But, hey, he can always hope for a "barn find" like we use to read about.

So, what's his aprox budget, for a decent driver ?

I don't know the budget, but I was told he had the money for whatever 1967 Firebird 400 (real one, with the scoops, 400 logos, etc) was available...project, driver or restored.

Well, if he's willing to spend $40k-$60k, he can get a real nice one, ready to drive.

There are also some clean ones, cheaper, if they have a 326 or OHC engine.

But, unless you run across a real good deal, a real nice, correctly restored 400 model, will probably cost well over $30k.

Who knows, somebody here might turn loose of one, if the price is high enuff.

Another good place to check might be the 1st gen Firebird forum.

https://firstgenfirebird.org/forums/...pics/30/1.html

There are also several FB pages that have Birds for sale, some specifically 1st gens.

He was pretty specific on it being the 400 model, nothing else motor wise, etc. He approached her, she knew I had a 69 400, and asked me to help locate one for him.

Apparently he hasn't found one yet as of 30 minutes ago, so if you've got a real 67 400 (correct VIN, etc), that's what he's looking for.

I've just been informed that this buyer would like the car paint to be red, burgundy or green.
