Default 61-63 Tempest Traction Master traction bars

I have an NOS set of these but for the life of me cant figure out how they are used on the rear suspension of these cars. Anyone ever used them back in the day ? Anyone need them ?

I note that the instruction drawing sheet states in print that it is for a 61-62 setup (although there is a handwritten note on the box that says it is for a for a 63).

The picture below shows the changes made from the 61-62 axle setup to the 63 setup. This was a substantial change.

I believe the setup is for the earlier 61-62 axle setup. I visualize that the “bars” act as a “solid” link between the frame rail and the “axle” thereby limiting the amount of vertical travel the axle can make up or down. This addresses the problem of the wheels tucking under.

Note there is a left and right mounting instruction. It appears the front mount goes to the outside of the frame rail.

Interesting. Odd that a companynthat makes traction bars would make these for a non performance car setup. Free to a good home just pay shipping !
