Default 1970-72 3-PRONG Temperature switch sending unit

Pictured is a 3 prong temperature switch sending unit from my buddies storage garage. He's had this for 25+ years. All I did to it was wire wheel the brass and it looks like it's new. I have no way to check to see if it's good, but what I was told is that if you shake it and you hear it rattle inside, the internals are bad. I'm looking for $100 shipped in the US using Priority Flat fate box with insurance. Please pm me and we'll go from there. Thanks.. Mike p.s Sorry about the pictures being sideways... don't know why they are like this.
