First myself. It's been since last spring. Swollen lymph nodes in chest(found out through testing sinus infection). Then PET scan, initially thought from scan ,cancer in prostate. Finally no. Then bone marrow test biopsy. Negative. Then groin lymph node biopsy, positive. I had good oncologist at Hillman Arnie Palmer Ctr close to me diagnosis this. She suggested 2nd opinion as an option. Going to Hillman Shadyside this am.She said low grade lymphoma will see.
2nd person I know of through personal dealings. He is always at Norwalk with his car. He has blood issues due to years of washing hands of grease. Also joint issues that cant be addressed due to blood. So keep him in your prayers. 3rd person again always at Norwalk and Pontiac events. It's in news. Employees hid criminal background information. He dismissed 2 and 2 on leave. Whole organization being investigated by county detectives. This leader is very forthright I feel for him. I'm keeping their personal names out. Just keep them in your prayers for positive outcomes. |

Thinking of you Bob,keep us informed please! Second prayer for the person with blood issue, back in the '70s was common to wash heavy grease off with the parts cleaner tank. And last hope everything turns out OK.

I received the news. Yes it is lymphoma. However low grade. The Dr I saw was Dr Ho(spl)he is caring, very knowledgeable, the nurses told me he is one of the best in the USA.He has awards. Anyway he suggested wait and see in 6 mos,PET Scan there. He did not recommend chemo or any radiation. There is a drug that could be used forget name. He said let's wait. There is another better drug coming. The strange thing my lymph nodes in my groin area are swollen inflamed like they are fighting infection, this condition cant be detected just the low grade lymphoma. He took about 6-8 vials of blood for advanced tests. He said good this was detected early so as to monitor. Thanks guys. The other 2 men. One will not make Norwalk although he wants to.I talked to his wife yesterday. The 3rd has been interviewed on the news. You can tell he is concerned.

I'll be praying for a good outcome Greg.
I was leary of what all these tests would discover. Both of my parents had cancer. The dr said good we catch it early. Now my point. The PET lasted 30min on hard table. With my lower back issues it was painful towards the end. The bone marrow scan was done at Hillman Greensburg. By female oncologist. I was told by friends expect to be sore like kicked by a horse. Nothing at all even at night or next day. I've had inoculations worse. Then the lymph node biopsy, they gave me local antithestia. Also cold pack to use.Again nothing no discomfort at all. So my point being if any of you need testing it can be helpful keeping you healthy for your families to enjoy your company. The 'anticipation' was the worst. |
