Really sorry to hear that. I met Gene when he had "Lil Poncho" for sale back when. I saw it on ebay and he let me come by to check it out. Gene was a really good guy and a Pontiac racer all the way. I missed out on the car when my PC froze in the last minutes. Always stopped to talk when I saw him at the track. RIP and God bless Gene.

Very sad to hear of his passing.

I purchased my current 65 GTO from him in the early 90's.

The car needed a complete restoration.

The car is just about complete and he got to see it 2 years ago at a local car show. He was very impressed with how it came out.

R.I.P. Gene

I posted in the lobby but only fitting to post here too,Gene was
a Pontiac racer. In jest I gave Gene the nick name of "Mean Gene".
Nothing could be further from that. We always joked about that. He was mean on the track and got the job done. Always a pleasure to be around.
RIP

RIP Gene. Condolences to family.

I remember getting eliminated by Gene; he stay just shy of nose-to-nose at the big end, as if he knew how to make a win look like a close win. Yea, I had looked over and noticed he was looking at my car not his. He knew something about competition.
