I have seen this done dozens of times and in good taste. But this one is a waste of a lot of good much needed parts.

I like it!
I would like it better in poor condition so I could drive it everyday and not worry about getting door dings and scratches!

Thought about it many times to do a '70 El Camino/GTO.

Very kewl considering. I'd rock one that was already done and beef it up to tow my 70 around (when it's done).

A Pontiac front end and a Chevy back end means it was done haphazardly. The car looks like it suffered a front end wreck and they slapped on a Pontiac front end. There are people restoring '68 and '69 GTO's that could put those parts to better use as well as the people that need a set of Honeycombs.

Here are some done right. Note the quarter panels do not look like a Chevy.

Didn't Pontiac do a El Camino styling exercise with a 68 LeMans?

There was this.....

we reached out to Don Keefe, editor of the magazine, for some background. He said that a group of Pontiac dealers in the Midwest, unhappy that Pontiac didn't get their own version of the Chevrolet El Camino, pooled their resources to build this car by melding a LeMans Safari station wagon nose (and, as we see from the photos, dash and drivetrain) with an El Camino chassis and cab.

That first all black one that Chief posted looks like it could have rolled right off of the GM assembly line. Very cool.
For the Judge-Camino, it's just my opinion, but I would have curled the Judge stripe up behind the door. It doesn't run down the quarter panel to the bumper on a real Judge.

Hey Chief, The 2 red ones are very cool, especially the 65. I gotta ask though, how are the others any
different? Are you saying those cars don’t have Chevy quarters on them?

Thanks
Murf

The cars all had their quarters massaged so that the wheel openings not only look like the Pontiac counterpart, but even utilize the Pontiac wheel opening moulding.

I had a friend that built a '73 Grand Am Camino back in the early 80's. He went so far as to do a "cowl cut" on the car because there were differences between the Pontiac firewall vs. the Chevy firewall. I think he said it had something to do with the dash panel install. I can't find any photos of it but some people might remember it. The car was maroon and was a 100% Pontiac conversion. Even was registered as a Pontiac. He took it to a couple of POCI conventions and everyone thought it was a Prototype.

He moved from NY to VA a few years ago and have not spoke to him since but I know he still have that car.

I like the Judgino. I would have Rallyes on it, minor preference. Well done effort IMO.
