Default AC drier

I just bought a new A/C receiver drier and one of the plastic plugs to keep the system closed was loose in the box and not in one of the line holes. It was the condenser side.My question is ,Is the drier no good ?Being the one plug was not keeping the system closed should I not take a chance and order another drier?Or do you think it will be OK?

return / send it back and get another, its integrity has been compromised with extended exposure to moisture in the air.
