Default What is the size of rear seat springs; A body?

I'm rebuilding the rear seat spring assemble on my 67 GTO. There are numerous web sites that sell steel online. The Z shape springs attach to a straight round bar which I believe is 3/16" or 1/8". Can anyone clarify the correct size?

As I look through my emails, I found one from Ben Rambow which he states 1/8" rod is what we generally need to rebuild seats.

the "Edgewire" which runs around the perimeter of the spring assembly is 1/8" steel rod.
