When people stop looking/buying on eBay, prices will come down. Free market at work.

A few months back; I was looking for a Edelbrock EP4B and naturally looked at ebay. The asking prices were between $ 600.00 & $900.00 for a manifold in "good" condition. I found one at a local swap meet for $120.00.
As I look around on ebay, now I see the same price gouging on driver's side mirrors and tachometers and vacuum gauges.
One guy was asking $400.00 just for the Vacuum gauge mounting cup !
I asked one guy why the high prices and he said it is because these parts are getting harder to find. I never understood that theory of supply & demand.
If you are selling gas for $3.00 a gallon and your supplier says he will not be able to deliver for 6 months, for maintenance reasons, why would you raise the prices to $12.00 a gallon ? That does not fix anything.
Your business should have insurance against such market fluctuations.
Instead, you gouge the people who are your neighbors & customers.
Same with ebay. Eventually, people will stop looking for parts on ebay because of ebays fees & greed and the seller's greed. Plus, with the Reproduction of parts nowadays for most popular cars, a lot of times these are cheaper than what ebay wants.
I know what you mean. I have a 69 Firebird with holes in the original console, so I bought a vacuum gauge to fill in the holes. I know the Vacuum gauge wasn't a 69 option, but it looks cool. I paid $140 after looking for one, but it finally showed up. Patience is required if there's a few out there. If not, you have to pay for what you want. 1967 was a long time ago.

Haven't seen this before. 69 Firebird convert with T/A flava flave. Says it's "wrapped in matte white wrap" and looks like wallpaper. $1.00 with a reserve. I'd stay far away from this one.

Who puts 20 pics of the underside of a car and not one single image under the hood?
Price is high but really doesn't look like it would be a bad project....at the right price.

In this pic you can see the dead spot where it sat for who knows how long on low tires. Who knows what's under that wrap although the trunk floor does look solid, the rust stains are a concern.

That crusty mcrusty is actually a pretty interesting car. Make a nice Sprint clone.

I agree. When the ad is poorly set up it would indicate to me the seller just wants to get rid of the car and doesn't really know how to sell it.
