Default Does spatter paint go here?

The 66 GTO has 2 die cast tail light housings inside the trunk that the tail light bulbs plug into. Should these be sprayed with the same spatter paint used on the inside of the trunk or should they be left bare?

For what it's worth, mine had a slight amount of splatter paint overspray on them. See photo attached.

I was always told they had no paint from the factory.

The great members here will confirm what I was told.
