Default 75 10000 mile GP worth?

Got a long time car "friend" who just offered a 75 Two tone red with burgandy {and red vinly top LJ} bucket seats all options rally wheels, spare never down, red cloth interior, all power, no sunroof. Told me one time shot, 20 grand. I told him no, but I probably have a few days. What do you guys think? Im thinking 15-17 with him getting a shot down the road to trade me out into something else. He probably paid 10-12 grand for it a few years ago. This guy doesnt budge on his prices. If I want the car its 20 grand. No one else, including the dealers will give him 20,but that wont stop him from "playing hardball' O yea almost forgot, it a 10,000 mile all original paint car. Car has undehood detailing including front suspension. As you guys know iv'e been looking for a 78-80 GP for a long time, with limited luck. maybe i'll just settle for a big body one like this. Out of 10, this car is about a 9-9,5 . Anybody have any opinions, or even interest in this car if I pass?

Keith is right on the money. 20K is a bit strong right now. But if it's something you have to have and will keep it for a long time, buy, drive and enjoy. He will be holding it a while at 20K

I wont keep it forever, just until the right 69 GTO comes along. If I want to sell it back to him he'll offer me 13 k. I just know the way this "buddy" works

The price is way to strong. the car even with that miles on it should bring about 10-12K only. NO DEALER will ever give him 20K for it. He is going to have it for a long time , so just hang in there & he'll ask again in a month or so & it will be less. He will come down to your price 10-12 K if you just wait for awhile. But be aware he will keep bugging you t pay him the 20K with things like it's going to go to someone else if you don't take it. I've got someone else that wants it,,,, but he will still have it for that price for awhile/ever. Then when he comes down to a more logical price then if you still want it buy it then. But to make sure he knows you want the later modle body style & you are going to hold out for that. He come down when he can't bully you into the sale.

FWIW, I agree on the value being under 15K. I also think a "buddy" that wants 20K for the car to you, then will only buy it back for 13K really isn't much of a "buddy".

Same guy sold me a black 87 Mustang GT conv for 10k back in the day, took it on trade for something else for 7500, resold it to a dealer for 10k. dealer sold it for 11k to someone else. guy has great cars, but cant understand why he has no friends. Was 'told' to always "overcharge" friends because they "want the world after the sale. Guy is a real "POS". Anybody want his number to buy the car? I dont even think a 75 is the best of the bodystyle. Give me a two tone 77sj or a 76 Aniversary t top car for same {or less money} Same guy offererd me 26k for my 68 GTO {sold for 35 } and 15k for my 10000 mile 2000 Ram Air conv {which im glad I never sold}. I keep on looking at the 86 White 7000 mile T top Grand prix thats been for sale in Smoke Signals forever at 16k and wonder if I should just offer 13k and try to make a deal. Anyone seen it in there?
