I've got a '64 droptop LeMans, and need to replace body wiring harness that goes across the floorpan under the carpet from fuze block to trunk area for the taillight harnesses to connect to. It's a 7-wire ribbon cable, and has the two power top motor leads attached. I've looked through the various aftermarlet catalogs and can find all the other repro wiring harnesses - except this one (!) Anybody know if this one is repro'd by anybody? Do I have to order one built for me from M&H? If I order from M&H, do they need the old one to pattern it after? Appreciate any help on this - Jon

I'm not aware of anybody offering a repro of that cable. Try clicking on the links at the top of the PY Online Forums page - http://performanceyears.com/links.htm. Go to Pontiac Related Business amd try http://mywebpages.comcast.net/gtopercy/ ; http://www.goatfarm.com/ ; http://www.frankspontiacparts.com/ or
http://www.newgto.com/

Saw a couple on ebay a while back, I do have one but my grandfather punched a hole through it to left water drain from the floor pan. I was going to repair it but did find another during the restoration.

Basically it needs to have some of the insulation cut back and a metal piece soldered it then I was going to get some of the liquid plastic stuuf and coat the reparied area.

If you are interested in it, let me know and we can work out a deal.

The ribbon harness for a convertible is different from that of a hardtop or sedan. Be sure you get the right one. There are no repros out there, so you probably should go after the eBay one that Halfway mentioned.
