'64 GTO Dash Wiring/Ignition Issue
1964 GTO originally equipped with T.I. ignition. Converted to Standard ignition back in the early 80s after orig. owner had electrical problems.
Car has been stored since 1984... Since converting to Std. ignition, have not been able to start the car. Once started & key released back to "RUN", engine shuts off. After 25 yrs in storage, we pulled the original dash wiring harness and discovered the Resistance Wire is gone (only 1" left sticking out from Fuse Block). Apparently, when the T.I. system fried, the repair shop modified the system/wiring. Temporarily put in (partially) a spare, used orig. Dash Harness and the ignition now works fine again. Unfortunately, car has A/C and spare harness I have does not. Instead going thru every wire and basically rebuilding the original harness, I'd rather buy a new one. Question: Who has the best repro wire harnesses? (appearance & function). Appreciate feedback from anyone who has experience w/repro wire harnesses. Thanks!

Posted an answer in the 64-65 Forum. I used a harness from Ames. I believe it was from M&H Fabricators - http://www.wiringharness.com/

I bought directly from M&H. Good company to deal with.
