I have a ford 9" that I'm putting in my 69' Catalina and am curious as to how big of a street tire I can fit in the back. Right now I have 265/50 Cooper cobras on 15x8 rims. I could squeeze 275/50's with the 10 bolt but that's max. Since the 9" has shocks that are lined up completely vertical and not at an angle like the GM, I'm sure I could fit in maybe another size bigger. I want to stick 305/50 or 315/50 on 16x10 rims and I don't know if this will require me to have the wheel wells tubbed or not. How much does it cost to have done?
