Maybe he still does.
I don't think Phil had the OO car restored. The entire time I knew about the car during restoration it was owned by Wade out of California and he was VERY involved in the restoration, but Ric was the restorer.

Interesting...talk about confusing myself. Starting around October 2011 I answered some questions about the car as Ric and his consultants were prepping it to go MCACN and I think it went there unfinished. At that point Wade was the owner. Guess I assumed he started the resto as well. From the other posts that Phil S made, it appears that he started the resto with Ric, but Wade finished it. Funny that I made a comment in late 2011 about the body mounts...must have forgotten about posting the same thing a year earlier (2010) in a thread on here to a different owner. Obviously the same car. Fairly obvious that I don't get enough sleep.

I know I have pictures of Mahoney's Cardinal Red/Sandalwood 4spd vert, but can't find them. Car was in Saratoga in 2008 along with Ray's pictured above.

I guess that means he own(s)(ed) the Silver one too.
We know where both of the Red ones have been , and the other Green one.

I'd still like to have that Silver one, and paint it Black again.

Default silver convt

when I found for Phil, the silver convt, yes it was still black. It was a very nice solid car.I believe guy who got it from Phil, used shop(Aloha) to restore. IMO my old red one, & orange are best restos I've seen...

The Grn Grn Wht 4spd is supposed to be a 3 Invoice car.
Do you know the details on that history - or have copies ?

Would be awesome if he could share them with us.
i'd like to have them archived in my files and study them.
Not many 3 sheet cars, and few have all 3 sheets available.

Best looking Green Machine i've ever seen.
The other Green one won't be near as striking, but they all look good in the end.

Your old red ride could not have met a better fate or better resto. imo

Some guys have been following these hi-profile cars for decades.

Fred would have had that total done. Its a hi-profile numeric for GTO.
We all make oversights as we get older and older in our paperwork.
The papers you guys are circulating are not all of his notes, that hand made graph is a quick compilation of other notes condensed.

My "theory" is someone likely immediately noticed the omission and questioned Mr.Fred - and got the tabulation. Why its rolling between 17 and 18 is odd.
71 was 17 total , people get mixed up. Maybe thats in the mix.

But without a factoid from Fred - there would be no 17 or 18 to even roll back and forth.

I'm with you - i'd like to know which is right - 17 or 18.
And when / where was the info garnished from Fred.

Does McCarthy's or Eric's books cover the 70 IV Judge ?
just a little plug i have a blues band in phoenix arizona and i am just finishing a new album and after reading a few threads like this i think i will title the new record assumptions and innuendos with the hit single i heard it from a guy who heard it from another guy who heard it from the fourth original owner so it must be true. with the b side i lemans remorse
