Default '70 Judge Hood Scoop Insert Warpage?

I'm restoring a '70 Judge and currently working on the fiberglass Ram Air hood scoop inserts. I've noticed that the inside upper leading edge seems to be tilted upward compared to the left insert. Is this normal or has mine warped? I've attached a picture to show what I'm talking about. I feel certain these are the original inserts to the hood which still has original paint and Ram Air decals. Thanks for any help!

How does it fit in the hood.. can you show a picture of that?? It would help others to identify the problem if any..I have had to "modify" them with fiberglass to get them to fit near perfect..they tend to change over the years..yours look like they could use some care..

The outside edge fits the contours of the hood just fine. I'm not sure how the leading edge could warp upward and still the outside edge meet the sheetmetal correctly, but it does. That's why I'm suspicious it was made this way. I'll try to take more pictures that illustrate my complaint better.

I took a heat gun to it and possibly moved it back slightly and then spent a few hours sanding and filling. I think it looks pretty good. It has a couple coats of primer drying tonight and then I can fine sand it and see how it looks tomorrow. It's not perfect, but better than a repop. The left insert had a major crack in it and one of the mounting stud ears was broken. I'm working it with epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth. It looks like it will turn out good as well.

I'm not in front of my cars now but I know that factory 69-70 Ram Air scoops all had one side (i think passenger) that had a crooked look like that on top, just a poor factory mold I guess. When I repaint a Ram air scoops I always cheat a bit and have them "blueprinted"

Thanks North - I have no other cars to look at, but I really suspect that this part was molded this way. I'm basically sanding and filling as much as possible to improve the fit and appearance and then I'm going to call it done and good enough.

That is the way they came from the factory. At least all the ones I've seen
