unstamped 69 400 block
Gee, imagine that. Another Pontiac factory anomaly. I have a very low mileage 400 short block that has no stampings on it, which would indicate it's intended use. It is drilled and tapped for 4-bolt mains, but has two bolt mains on it and they are original. I disassembled this short block myself. it was out of a 69 GTO. The casting date is B189 and the casting part number is 9790071. I would think someone could use this and make it what they wanted. There is no engine code, engine plant number, or vin number on this block. The crank, rods, pistons, and bearings are in perfect condition. almost no visable wear. The price is $1000. Thanks for reviewing this listing.

unstamped 400 block
This is an SR (service replacement block. The sr number is very faint on the very outer edge of the block.
