Haven't been here much either. Catching up on threads.

on healing well.

Injured couple disc snowmobiling in 90's. Still pinch nerve once in while no reason.
One of my best buds had 2 surgeries past 2 yrs. Still can only stand and walk for 5-10 minutes. Eats pain killer like candy.
Fighting insurance company for a 3rd surgery.

Man, am I thankful!!!

I went to ER Mon afternoon. Diagnosed with acute kidney injury, was dehydrated. Received IV fluids for 24 hours. Nothing else. I feel better than I have in a month!!!

How? Why?

My recovery.has been an extremely slow progressing ordeal. Everything I've done, walking c exercising, has been an exhausting grueling ordeal. Yesterday and today I got up out of my hospital bed, BY MYSELF EASILY. I walked beside one of the hospitals physical therapists. She asked me IF I could get out of bed and stand up by myself. I said YES,Ma'am. She looked at me like I was full of crap. ( she knew so m e of my recent history). I got up. She and I walked down the hall. She kept yelling me to slow down. I told her I had not felt this good since before the accident!!! She finally accepted my words as truth, that I was not BSing her.

I don't know why I am feeling so much better, and well.
I know prayers ARE answered, that's ALL I have to know.

Thanks again for such a bunch of good friends, that I have never even spoken to...
Except for a couple...
Jeff

Glad to hear you are doing better. Dehydration can kick your butt. I know because I have been there more than once during my career as a fire fighter. Since I retired I haven't had any problems.

I haven't seen this. Good to hear your ok and on your feet Jeff. Hopefully you'll get back to almost as good as new. Broken vertebras are no picnic. My back still bothers me but not as bad lately. Mine happened in September of 1994.

And Happy birthday too.

Thanks, again for all the support, prayers that have come all the awesome folks, here!!!

One year ago, today, I nearly lost my life. Supposed to go see my surgeon this Friday, for the last time (or so, he says).
Every time I see him, he tells me I should be dead or a quadriplegic.

Improvement happens every day. It's a slow process. Been working since Feb 6th.

Keep praying for me. I've had shingles since July 1st. Still fighting pain issues with this

Thank You. ALL AGAIN!!!

Sounds like you are working hard and making progress with good support.

Glad to hear this, as the challenges sound rough enough to knock anyone down.

Keep plugging, you ARE getting through it.
