70-81 RH Door skin NOS
I am interested in buying an NOS (new old stock) GM door skin for the passenger side of my Firebird.
If you are state-side, and reluctant to ship to me, I have state-side relatives, one of which is happy to receive parts for me. If you have this, thanks in advance for considering selling to me.

Could anyone offer a suggestion of what I might expect to pay if I should find one?

I have two complete 74 doors in stock - fair and repairable - if that helps at all.
Good luck with yer search. |

My 70 doors should be repairable, and I also have a repairable set of 71 doors;
but they all need skins, and from what I have understood the NOS skins are much better to deal with.

Our local NAPA was able to get a repop skin for me. Front fender alignment was good but center crease at rear was low 3/8". I'm sure there are better panels out there but factory is probably the best fit.

NOS skins are nice, they are getting hard to find. Last one I bought for a friend's 1970 cost $450 . It was made in the late 80's.

OK, before I reply (in case anyone is following this) there was a kijiji ad in my province for exactly this part;
As it turns out it was the same guy who a couple years ago responded to my "wanted" ad on kijiji (hint: Kijiji is essentially the Canadian Craigslist) but them promptly seemed to ghost me when I would ask what became of this. So this post: was essentially attempting to confirm that the listing was for the one I wanted; I sent Chuck a PM, letting him know that I was in contact with the seller, and had arranged to drive up there yesterday. I want to once again thank members here with their help - and in this case, specifically letting me know what they paid (that's you Bruce). I now have a matched set of NOS doorskins. even though I have not made any real progress on my car this year, I continue to keep an eye open for parts, and because of one key final step on my garage update, for the first time EVER my garage is not a freezer when there is snow outside - I have my heater on the lowest possible setting, and it's down right pleasant in my garage!! I anticipate making some progress before the calendar year is up, and working on my car during my Christmas break.
