Ok I went to put the new timing chain cover on ,guess what? no fit,but it looks nice, just painted it and I did a dry fit and I'm about 1/8 " off the block.I have a tri pwr and a t-stat housing with the dimple, but no dimple on the timing chain cover. This is a 8 to 11 bolt conversion.Any ideas?Maybe with a 11 bolt timing chain cover with the dimple .Thanks again guys.

The early, (69 thru sometime in the early 1970’s), 11-bolt covers had the dimple to clear the tri-power thermostat housing. Not sure which year they went away from that.

I’m not aware of any new aftermarket 11-bolt timing covers that have the dimple. .
