I agree.
A third option if you have a non functioning deck is to get an older two post aftermarket deck; Some made in the 1990's even had provisions for an aux input - which is half of the battle... The one that I used to have in my Firebird (which I regret GIVING to my brother for his '77 TA that went to Ontario) was a Sparkomatic SR-59; It was a really good deck - nothing fancy mind you, but a great tape player, with a really good radio, and a built in digital tuner with digital display. I only got rid of it because I started down the rabbit trail of wanting a correct radio for my car. because I am not "all over the place" quite enough, I have been on the look out for one of these decks too...

I have an extra pioneer in stock with aux at the back instead of the front which is nice however my new phone has no ports and BT is designed for my lazy a$$.
