66 lemans hot wires
I have been doing some upgrades,(or just trying to start it) on my 66 lemans.Things that I have done are: small high torque starter, ford remote solenoid, electric fuel pump, oil pressure switch. and new battery cables.I replaced the ignition switch also, which I think may be a problem.I am having problems starting, when I try starting my battery cables get hot,I cannot get it to run.ANY help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Does the engine turn over at all when you are trying to start? If yes, does it turn at what you think is a "normal" speed? Realize that the new starter may sound much different than the stock starter. What size are the new battery cables?

hot wires
Hi Bill, the car will start with gas put in carb, then it will stall almost sounds like its out of time. The cables are regular size cables for the battery.I don't know if the fuel pump is pumping fuel up to the carb yet.I'm getting a little overwhelmed.Thank you Bill.
