Rear quarter panel pictures
So my 65 GTO project is tweaked in bot rear quarter areas where the quarter goes to the tail panel and an open gap both sides. Anyone have a picture with eth bumper and tail light housing removed to see how they are supposed to look? And does a "full quarter" wrap around there?

There's a video on YouTube of a guy replacing that back panel on a 65.

Found this one but he is using a partial qtr patch panel on the other side and I have they don't wrap when full do.
Picture of the factory side is the gap that I circled supposed to be there or attached? Mine is tweaked on both sides and goes into the trunk.

Thanks . Mine is just tweaked enough in different spots hard to tell what "normal" is.

here are pictures of mine. passenger side crunched in at top and torn into tail panel/trunk. Drivers side just a slight tweak below that. and some rust probably from a leaking tail housing gasket.

Here's my '65 when I was changing the rear bumper a little while ago. Original paint in that area, and I wiped the frame and you can see the black paint on it. Original body bushings, etc. CA car that has never been rusted or wrecked.

That is years of road dirt. My car has never been restored or out of service. The small section of the frame I wiped with a damp sponge. The rest of the car would be body color or whatever color the primer was, if cleaned. My car also is running the original tank, fuel, and brake lines, and they are like new.
