Which is the correct pilot bushing for my 65?

Pontiac did not use a bushing from the factory. They used a pilot bearing. The part # is 7109.

You could buy a solid bushing aftermarket but neither one in the picture looks correct

Tom, That part number does not come up with anything I can find from any search engine I use. Do you know the vendor? Thanks. I have people asking for a bushing all the time. Especially if they don't have the ability to dial in their bellhousing. Bearings require a pretty straight run to operate without failure. Those soft bronze bushings will conform to a good amount of runnout.

Thank you! I can tell you for sure 2XGR1 will not get you a Pontiac Pilot bushing! That 1/2 hour searching is gone forever!

In my opinion the experts on this issue are the people at autogear.net. They sell both the pilot bushing and the pilot bearing for your '65 and will provide solid information.

Most Pilot Bushings are Chevy parts cut down to fit into the Pontiac Crank correctly.
