Default Pontiac Trophy 4 video

Anybody follow Richard Holdeners channel? https://youtu.be/l5BPUsQqdCg
Seems to me his power numbers arent that far off for what that thing originally put out.

Does anybody have pics of the lower end? Very curious to see how they did that!

Well it was neat seeing it.

They didn’t recheck the new ring gap.
I’m sure the little engine had some wear in the cylinders(taper)

What did he do about the timing chain?????
Probably the smallest of factory camshafts too.

In the follow-up video tonight he shows that he changed the valve springs and although it now revs to 4800 it made no difference in power at all, I'm guessing that cam is giving all it's got. He has some very interesting plans for it in the future if he actually follows through though. https://youtu.be/ki2VTvspkOs

I was at the machine shop checking on the progress of a couple engines yesterday and Richard and his friends pull up and drop off this 4-banger. I've watched his videos so it was cool to meet him. Very nice guy.
