Default Headlamp Upgrade

To All,

Would like to upgrade the standard square headlamps on my 1978 Firebird T/A to the more modern halo style lights. Looking for suggestion(s) on companies to but such a setup and is install quite difficult? Would appreciate your input. Thank you.

Curious what you mean by “halo” style lights.

Guessing bulbs like these? I've seen them in classic cars and liked them, and I've seen them in classic cars and not liked them... I'm not sure what makes some look good and others not. Maybe color?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, some look good and not so good. That is why I am inquiring about other companies. Note the attached. This style is from Top Gear. Again, are there other companies that supply aftermarket headlamp styles and the level of difficulty.

Most cheap LED replacement headlights are trash. I get the look you are going for, but spend some time researching the bulbs you are considering before buying. The beam patterns on some are detrimental to the vision of oncoming traffic and don't necessarily provide good swaths of light for the driver. Another issue is the actual lumen output can be abysmal for cheap bulbs. Combine these two issues and you end up with a downgrade rather than upgrade.

Best ones I've found are sold by The Retrofit Source - www.theretrofitsource.com
