Default GLUE SHORTAGE ?

I've heard there is one for the race tracks ? Gateway has slowed all classes down to 1/8 mi.
Last March I had 4 new tires mounted-balanced for my 78 TA. It's been sitting in the garage Since. I just decided to move it and found several wheel weights laying on the garage floor. I wonder how many more would have flown off down the highway ???

3M makes a very strong dubble sided clear peal off adhesive, its available in different size squares.
Get the ones that are like 3/4" by 3/4".

Two things: Wheels probably dirty when they were applied. When I balance wheels, I take time to clean up the weight area a bunch, and then place tape over the weights as added protection. I bet someone was just in a hurry.

Wheels were NOT dirty ! My son cleaned them and balanced them. He's been doing it for 30 + years.
You lost that bet .

Got to watch some types of brake clean if thats what is used to clean- they will leave a residue thats not adhesive friendly.

X2 with the above.
It’s best to use Acetone if the rims are not clear coated, or wax and grease remover if you can find it in a Qt size and not the gallon .
