Might be Goatracer if he painted the fenders to match the car.
Don't worry its not fast. Nah, I think it is that other slow CV1 mustang.

Goat Racer is probably the only Pontiac Powered Mustang in the country so would not bet any money that it was someone else.
STREET RACER in Detroit. Being a Ford, lots of Chevy suckers. Being Pontiac Powered even more Chevy and Ford suckers. Being on spray with a tunnel ram and Dominators on a Pontiac Engine, LOTS of Ford and Chevy suckers. "Pontiacs don't run and wid that chit on there, bring it Dog" Tom Vaught ps We will not even get into how many extra lengths they want to give with the CV-1 heads on the engine. (;>) EHTTTMF

There's a guy near Kansas City with a Pontiac powered Mustang too. Might be his if not Goatracer's. It's also CV-1 powered.

imposters....
the only...REAL er..ahuh pump gas, stock block, iron head, ponchostang was campaigned by yours truely. Those new fangled, aftermarket block and head cars are a abomination to the brand. How dare those guys run anything but stock stuff.
and, there is only one acceptable oem way for the arrowhead to be affixed to the hood...the only correct thing i see is that it is the right color. Last edited by J.C.you; 09-11-2011 at 06:50 AM. |

So what does your Ponchostang weight? What times have you run with the OEM parts? Just curious...

Last I heard more MPH than ever over old E's on less N2O and touching best ETs ever(5 teens) but fighting putting the power down. I know head and manifold swap alone was worth 35 hp NA at same rpm and on same n2o tune as previous, it was up about 80HP and climbing. Initial break in earlier this year 1047hp at 6500rpm at the back tires with a 300 single system fogger, with the curve still on the rise. he said thats 80hp more than the e heads with everything else exactly the same.
35hp NA at the wheels at same relatively low 6500 RPM isnt bad for just a head/manifold swap.(These are out of box heads/intake. Same cam as previous.) Early passes were over 3mph faster than best ever numbers. (on less N2O) Softening the chassis to control wheelstands has kept it from going faster. Also, last I heard, the old convertor may get re-stalled as stall increased considerably after the swap. FWIW the car weighs 3200lbs. Due largely to those who criticized without looking at the whole picture, improvements since arent being broadcast. As a side note though, its rumored that someone is finally stepping up and building a high rpm high compression NA CV1 +500 inch combo that will attempt to take full advantage of a well ported set of CV1 heads. |
