When you start kicking dogs instead of petting them, everything tastes the same - bland, you can't hear well and it is a good thing because you don't care to listen anyway, and your manhood no longer works and you don't care anyway because sex is work and you would rather invest your energy working on your car.

Every day above ground is a good day. If you're that old you should be giving advise and not whining about it. Suck it up princess!

Back in the day there was a shortage of mechanics/machinists. Anyone with a brane got into computers. Pay was better and it was air conditioned.

The dealership parts counter. Now that's the place to be. All the NOS parts you want and air conditioned. Someone just asked about this heater control valve for the A/C cars and I took some pictures of it. The old original gold cad is still looking pretty good. Made me think of Bill and I check the threads and there he is.
Check out the multi colored effect on this one. Goes from a gold near the edges to a red effect near the center. Even better in person. DOLE VALVE CO. MORTON GROVE, ILL. U.S.A. |

Got my bird when I was 29 years old. Owned it almost 42 years now. Am I old ??? I don't worry about it. My car takes me back in time, so I'm okay. Grandchildren insisted I get a computer when I was fifty. Glad I did. Found this place and joined here in 2007. Got my car finished in 2011. Couldn't have restored my car if it hadn't been for the "brain trust" (Norwood & many others like him) and PM's from members on this forum helping me. Still very grateful..... I get your jokes, Mr. Norwood (LOL).

Getting old means the worst part of your day is bending over to install your socks...
.Once you get that done...it's all good... Anyday above ground....that you can haul your own sorry ass out of bed by yourself...is a good one.....as long as you can still remember what the pedal on the left is for.. |

Well, if you subscribe to the philosophy of the o.p., the thing to do is to shut down the forum completely and use the archives to answer all of your questions. Kind of like an old time library...
But then of course we would be deprived of jewels like this one. Sent from my moto g stylus (2021) using Tapatalk

OTOH if you repeat what you were saying in the 80's, no-one remembers and is new.
