The ship has sailed on that one. Wheels are in motion. Many thousands of dollars of parts purchased, commitments made, etc.

For better or worse it's happening. We'll see but I think this motor is gonna be bada$$.

Mr. Hein, I'll go out on a limb here, the 1970 WS motor I'm looking for out there in Pontiac-land has the last 3 VIN of: 649.

Thanks!
Guess I'll throw MY hat into the ring here.....My original engine is missing.......496...70 WS

As a late teen I built a non number matching 72 formula with a Saginaw 4 speed 455 blue bumper guards and white interior. I had a torker 2 high rise and a holley double pumper with hei. I wish I still had the car. I bought it for 250 as a roller. I cared less if it had original engine. I'm thinking if your car isn't original them make it bad ass. Stop wasting life worrying about the engine no.being right or running around trying to.find it.,it may not exist no more. I've spent countless hours finding parts and still hunting a few down but I'm almost done. It would be stupid of me to try to make it number matching starting with a roller and is it worth your time and effort? Just my opinion. Drive your car

Someone should start a pinned thread where you can post looking for and found partials ONLY. Would be helpful to us all

I have had at least 12 blocks I could have posted and maybe found the original cars for if we did.

OK so here are the codes from my block.

Casting: 9799914
date: C100 (looks like)
VIN: 20N110363

I talked to Frank at All Pontiac yesterday. They processed my deposit and it looks like it's gonna be ready to ship in about 4 weeks. The blocks have been cast. He's waiting on the main caps then machining.

Hopefully Keith K will chime in, maybe he knows something about the car. I did a google search and a forum search here for the VIN and got nothing.

A little over 400 cars in my 70 TA "tracking file"..., but unfortunately N110363 isn't one of them.

Sounds like maybe FAB has a connection for it, though?

Just to muddy the water a bit....I guess that VIN: 20N110363 could also be from a formula 400?

No.
That VIN would be the only one in the Firebird line. (either Firebird, Esprit, Formula or TA)
