Default 389/421 interchangeability

Going to put a 1964 421 in a 64 GTO I'm restoring. Plan is to remove 389 (original to car), rebuild it, and set it aside. Put the 421 in its place. I only have a bare block and crank for the 421, so can anyone tell me what parts from the 389 can be used? I know about the larger items, heads, intake, but what about dist, alt bracket, ac unit, fan, waterpump, balancer and pullies?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hey B-Man, you ever get your 421 up and running?

Ran perfectly on the test stand.

Not in the car yet, my air-cooled hobby cars have had the bulk of my attention for the past few years.

Make sure yours is drilled for a starter in the block. As I understand it '64 was a transition year for the 421 going from a bell housing mounted starter to a block mounted starter.
