Default 1967 doors vs 1968 doors

I'm thinking about doing away with the wing vents on my 67.
Is there a difference in the 67 doors and the 68 doors?
I'm guessing that I would have to use the 68 window tracks but why wouldn't I be able to do this?

Hinges are 3 bolts on 67, 4 bolts on 68.

upper part of the door (inside) will make it impossible to fit a 67 door trim on a 68 door frame.

Betcha it's been done... Might be easiest to grab the roof too?
If you can put a bubble top on a '61...

so, to clarify a little.. I have a 67, with 67 doors.
Does anyone know if I can just delete the wings windows and use 68 glass and window tracks?

Doesn't look promising to say the least, first is a 67 door, second is a 68 door.

If you are a skilled metal grafter, I see two options (in theory):

1.) Get a pair of 68 doors, cut the front jam area out of them (where the hinges mount) and weld in the same metal from your 67 doors. You would have to be really good to do this trick and would have to find good 68 doors to do it.

2.) Take your 67 doors and cut out the entire inside metal piece that the window tracks mount to. Weld that part in from 68 doors and use the 68 door guts. To me, this seems easier and this sheet metal is usually good even on doors with badly rotted door corners. You probably wouldn't even need to dress the welds if neatly done as your interior door panels would cover the welds.. I have a pair of 68 doors with window tracks I would sell if you want to do this, but I'm in Wisconsin and don't want to ship entire doors as the cost and packaging would be prohibitive. My doors are pretty rotted, but good in that area. Certainly you could find these locally at a reasonable price.

I have a '68, and after riding in one with vents that's one thing I wish it had. Really cuts down the wind buffeting inside when the main window is rolled down. Might look a little cleaner visually, but you may miss their functionality.
