Default 70 TA hood scoop to air cleaner wing nuts

As I don't know if what I've seen are original or not, are they black oxide? and does anyone have a picture of an original? What is the most accurate repro available? Thanks! Andy

I believe mine are original. More like chrome plated.

!/4"-20 the originals were polished chrome. But they do tarnish and eventually rust a little. my old originals looked pretty rough.

I went to Lowe's and bought two stainless steel 1/4"-20 wingnuts. I compared the old ones to the new ones while I was at the store. You can't tell the difference except the new ones look great. Those are about the only thing I ever found that was inexpensive when putting these cars back right.

Maybe $0.28 each.

This is the one wingnut I do have...I guess it's an original...stamped "PAL"

This is one of the wingnuts that came with my car, so it appears I have at least one original, and it's marked "PAL". Thanks for the replies! Andy

Mine are an actual tapped wing nut, not the stamped single thread style.

Maybe we could start a poll to see who has which type on their car?
