Default Just picked up a '70 Model J

Bought this baby this weekend. One owner. 160000 miles. Was living in the barn behind it for a few years. Runs well. I couldn't believe I found the color combo I was looking for and its only an hour from my house!

Great looking car. I hope you keep white wall tires on it.

She is absolutely filthy inside and out from being in that barn. I can't wait to start cleaning her up!

this is identical to a '69 we sold except it had tach and gauges and tape deck...the one that mounts to the rear of the console. We bought it for the driveline for a '69 ragtop we were doing but it was way too nice to part. Ironically...I think the guy who bought it cut the top off to do a ragtop conversion...which I don't believe he ever finished. Sorry...just that this is a car I've always regretted selling because of the reasons mentioned...you never see a Liberty w/blue and especially sans the vinyl top. Also one of my all-time favorite body styles. Nice find!

Maybe in a limited capacity. Got to go through all the systems and make sure everything is safe. Got a LOT of clean up to do!

this is such a cool car and project, it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to it's come back. "from the barn to the byway" type of deal. something along the lines of showing the dirt and what it takes to clean it. inspecting the car for non working or worn out/unsafe components, then their repair or replacement. nothing too nuts, a before and after pic with a couple sentences about it. just a thought. in any case, kudos to you for saving one.

That's not a bad idea Matt. Might take me awhile. Once I get a chance to start on her, I'll post some pics.

BTW, Just received my Wheel Vintiques Chrome Rally's today!

I've got a near new four core radiator that recently came out of my lemans, its in my way needs to go. I would darn near donate it if your car needs one.

That's very generous of you! I might need it. I noticed a little wisp of steam from the front when I was loading it on the trailer. I'll PM you when I get it apart.
