Default Selector return spring

anybody have a part number for the gear shift selector return spring for a 65 column shift? im tired of mine flopping around, my local steering column guy couldnt go back that far in his catalog to find the correct spring.

Not sure which spring you are referring to. And there may be a difference from tilt to non tilt columns.
Group 4.008 lists a small coil spring at the shift lever (exc tilt) 9779355. In picture it looks like a spring to return the lever to normal position after yo pull it tword the steering wheel to remove from park.
Group 4.010 lists a part 391537. Says five coil located at at shift lever bowl for tilt wheel. But picture looks like a rebent paper clip. I don't know which is correct for you situation.
