I don’t think that differential part number is original to the 69 GTO. Might want to post this in the Street section so it gets more views or reach out to Ol Pinion Head. Of course it will work but I seem to recall 9799100 being a taper bearing and all 69 GTOs came with pressed bearing. Perhaps the wrong bearing was ordered because they placed the order by year-make-model and not by looking at the differential. Anyway, my 2 cents on why things might not be right.

Tim66,

I just ordered new bearings for my 1969 "TIMKEN RW507CR Bearing"?
Should be on my doorstep in a few days.

What brand and model numbers are on yours?

Hi guys,I spoke with the shop that put the bearing on and he found the old one which is smaller than the one he put in. He is going to replace with the right size.Thank you all for you're help.
