There is a small wire/lever (?) that goes from the pump piston lever to an area under a small cover (see photos). What does this do? Also, do I have it installed correctly?

Also, at the base of the vent tube in these photos is a triangular pressed-on bracket. Beneath the bracket is what appears to be a metering screw (like the idle mix screws). What does this do? I turned it in all the way and then backed out 2 full turns. I don't find this on my other carbs, but it is present in the photos from Unruhjohnny in a previous post in this thread. Very mysterious.

in your second last post you had three "extra" parts;
two of which are for a part yoyr carb doesn't have, the third (large foamy) part is put in the cavity in the throttlebody, presumably to soak up any fuel leaking from the secobdary system.

1970 Pontiac uses a little foam filter for the clean air port on valve instead of a hose to the aircleaner.

I believe that middle rubber part goes under that vent spring.

I'm guessing that the adjustable main well air bleed screw as I set it in the "two turns back from full in" is not going to significantly affect the function of the carb, and the vent spring was replaced in original position so that is also a non issue. The left over round rubber part does resemble the rubber part under the vent spring except that the replacement has a hole in the center.
Kenth, thanks for the clarification on the TCS system. I've never seen the little foam vent. Do any still exist? Would a missing foam be a point deduction in Concours judging? Sorry for mis-spelling Unruhjonny. I guess everyone is an "ultimate warrior". I did not notice that.

the available vent pieces I have seen are a squared off piece of foam.

I recently found one of these still hooked up, and it had a different breather piece of sorts:

That was an interesting thread. I could stick some foam in a piece of tubing, but I'm guessing the original pieces disintegrated long ago. Do you have a pic of the EBay foam? This is a purely academic discussion as mine will have all pieces in place but will not be hooked up.

Also, Kenth, where are you getting all these diagrams?

Here are some photos of the newly refurbished carb nestled happily atop the aluminum RAIV intake. I recall someone mentioning that the brake vacuum line was secured by a clip to the (?) throttle bracket? Anyone have a photo of said clip?

Another bothersome problem - the idle solenoid does not line up squarely with the throttle linkage. Where have I gone wrong?

Also, I have a bunch of TCS solenoids left over that I will never use. If anyone wants them, they can be had for postage only. Just my way of saying thanks to the forum for all the help.

There is some adjustment to the idle solenoid, but, I found mine didn't hit squarely either. It can be adjusted to function though.
